San Marino resident Margaret Piatos, a senior at Harvard-Westlake High School in Studio City, has announced that she will play her college tennis this fall at New York University.
Piatos attended San Marino High School her freshman year before transferring to Harvard-Westlake as a sophomore. This past season, she won the Mission League singles championship and was the Mission League’s most valuable player. Piatos was recruited by Horace Choy and follows in the footsteps of her older brother, Joshua, who played men’s tennis at NYU from 2016-20.
This last year, NYU finished third at the UAA championships and advanced to the NCAA Division 3 championships for the first time in program history.
Piatos, who is the daughter of Joanna and Medwin Piatos, intends to study political science at NYU.
