Carver Elementary Toy Drive Brings in Record Numbers

Carver Elementary School students donated nearly 900 toys and accumulated more than $20,000 in toy donations during their holiday toy drive, which was held between Dec. 11 and Dec. 15.

The event was held on behalf of Union Station Homeless Services in Pasadena.

“This is very likely our best year yet,” Stacy Travisano, Carver fifth-grade teacher and student council advisor, told the Tribune. “We are so pleased and proud of this unique opportunity to serve others.”

The Carver student council is run as a service project and leadership program at the elementary level.
