San Marino Police Department Crime Report Dec. 10 – 16

A vehicle reported stolen near Huntington Drive and Granada Avenue at 2:25 p.m. on Dec 13 was thought to be found by officers, who conducted a traffic stop. However, an investigation revealed that the wrong vehicle was reported stolen, and the driver was released.

Surveillance footage of an unknown suspect entering the front yard of a residence and walking around a vehicle late at night was reported in the 1900 block of Orlando Road at 9:42 a.m. on Dec. 15. No damage was reported to the vehicle and no property was taken.

Three unknown subjects entered a residence through an unlocked rear door in the 1000 block of Avondale Road at 12:49 a.m. on Dec. 16. The suspects ransacked the master bedroom and stole various items.

The San Marino Police Department had 596 calls for service between Sunday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec. 16. There was one residential burglary in this time frame. There have been 49 residential burglaries reported so far this year. Information was gathered from a department memorandum summarizing key incidents handled during this period.
