Get a ‘Piece of Pi’ on March 14 at San Marino High

The San Marino Schools Foundation will put on a new fundraising event, A Piece of the Pi Day, on Thursday, March 14, at San Marino High School.

A Piece of the Pi Day aims to rally district families and community members in support of its mission to provide more than $2 million annually to the San Marino Unified School District. These funds ensure that students have access to smaller class sizes, enriching programs, resources and technologies that empower their learning journey.

San Marino Schools Foundation President Alison Moller said: “For those who have not given yet to the foundation, this is the perfect opportunity to contribute. And for those who have already given, we thank you and invite you to join the festivities.”

In a generous act of community support, The Chinese Club of San Marino has pledged to match Pi Day donations dollar for dollar, up to $25,000. This incredible matching grant doubles the impact of contributions, amplifying the resources available to students in San Marino Schools.

CCSM President Se-Yao Hsu added: “We are thrilled to participate in this unique and important event.”

“Join us on March 14 at San Marino High School, as we come together to make a difference, have some fun, and share a piece of the pie. There will be Pi-themed activities, photo opportunities and pie to enjoy while making community connections. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal of providing excellence in education for all,” SMSF said in a statement.
