USC Trojan Affiliates Plans Year-End Celebration May 2

Morgan Ovens, owner of Haven Home Organizing, will speak at the USC Trojan Affiliates Year-End Celebration on Thursday, May 2, at Celestino’s Italian Restaurant in Pasadena between 6-9 p.m.

Her topic will focus on “Life and Home Decluttering,” and the event will include the installation of the 2024-25 board and a dinner.

After 15 years in the entertainment industry, Morgan Ovens founded Haven Home Organizing. For her, organizing has been a method by which she can express herself to the world, and also a key practice for self-discovery. As a child, whenever she was overwhelmed, she often turned to organizing to feel better. She said that in those moments of rearranging her clothes and makeup drawers she felt connected with herself and in an almost meditative state, she let the noisy, anxious feelings fade away.

Working closely with a distinguished clientele comprising some of the country’s most successful CEOs, founders, tech entrepreneurs and Hollywood actors, Ovens is deeply passionate about advocating for the benefits of home wellness, starting with the foundation of an organized space.

Ovens’ dedication to promoting home wellness has garnered widespread recognition, working alongside some of Forbes Under 30 acknowledging her as “the key to success in life.” Her expertise and insights have been featured in leading publications such as Martha Stewart Living and Real Simple, solidifying her reputation as a thought leader in the field. Ovens leverages her wealth of experience and innovative approach to inspire positive transformations in the homes and lives of her clients. With an unwavering commitment to excellence and a keen eye for detail, she continues to redefine the concept of home wellness, one organized space at a time.

In her talk, she will be covering the empowering connection between self and space; daily tools to increase peace of mind; how to declutter for self-care; some of her favorite products; innovative ways of decluttering, organizing and donating/repurposing items from what can be done quickly in an afternoon to more long-term projects that may benefit from professional support or what friends can do together.

The members of USC Trojan Affiliates invite all interested women to attend this special evening, to be entertained by Ovens, install the 2024-25 board of directors, hear a review of the activities for Trojan Affiliates for 2023-24, to recognize the new 2023-24 members and to make new friends.

USC Trojan Affiliates, a women’s organization based in the San Gabriel Valley, supports USC and welcomes all interested women to attend its meetings and events. All women who are parents, alumna, and friends of USC are encouraged to attend. Meetings are usually held the first Thursday evening in October, November, February, March and May. The first meeting of the 2024-25 year will take place on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Ayuko Siegel, of Glendale, will serve in her second year as president and will be installed again at the meeting. The board includes members living throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

The cost of the dinner, which includes salad, choice of entrée and dessert, is $56.
