Verizon Wireless Retailer Store Targeted Again in Armed Robbery

Armed robbers targeted Verizon Wireless’ retail location on Huntington Drive again today according to a press release issued by the San Marino Police Department.

Two male suspects entered the store in the 2100 block of Huntington around 1:25 p.m. on Oct. 18, with the first suspect ordering store employees to the floor at gunpoint, while the second suspect took cell phones from the safe. A third suspect was seen backing a silver or light gray Chevrolet Impala to the rear door of the store, after which both of the suspects inside Verizon Wireless fled the store, taking off in the vehicle, according to the release. The vehicle drove west in the back alley toward Westhaven Road and out of sight at around 1:31 p.m.

The first suspect was described as a black male in his mid-20s, approximately 5’11”, with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded vest jacket with a black long-sleeved shirt, black jeans and black basketball style shoes.

The second suspect was described as a black male who also looked to be in his mid-20s, about 5’11”, with a scraggly beard and wearing a black baseball hat and black mask, a green camouflaged hooded jacket, black gloves, black jeans, and gray “Vans” style tennis shoes.

There was no description available for the third driver. The vehicle was described as a 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala LS, 4-door sedan with tinted windows, silver “alloy” rims and either a Cerritos “Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, or Ram” paper plate manufacturer name on the rear license plate.
