Rottweilers, Beagles, Chihuahuas and many more scurried around at the Coldwell Banker Realty San Marino and Glendale dog adoption event held on Saturday, Oct. 7 on the patio of their Huntington Drive office.
Since 2014, CBR offices nationwide have partnered with local shelters and rescues to match deserving dogs with loving homes.
This year, the group partnered with nonprofit A Purposeful Rescue, whose mission is to serve the often-overlooked dogs in overcrowded shelters and get them the extra care, time, and attention they need to reach their full potential as happy, loving companions.
There were 22 “Magical Unicorns,” as APR refers to their charges, in attendance, each ranging from 5 months to 14 years old and accompanied by their foster people. Thousands of licks, pets, and belly rubs were shared by the dogs, Coldwell Banker’s volunteer agents and attendees, looking for their forever furry friends.
There were 10 applications submitted for several dogs as a direct result of the event.
“Meredith” a 5-month-old Rottweiler mix; “Boop”, a 7-year young Chihuahua mix; and “Chef”, a gallant 5-year-old Beagle mix, were among the few friends garnering attendee’s affection.
